About

TARA

Gone With the Wind was my mother’s favorite movie and she knew she would have one STRONG little girl, hence why I was named after the plantation that withstood war. I have always been obsessed with fashion; shoes to be exact. I owned my first pair of platform Mary Janes at the age of nine…I was and am a shortie and I hated getting on stage at church to sing and feeling like a shrimp. Shoes are so empowering! They are fun, fierce and can give one so much confidence.

I am a Texas girl through and through, growing up in the country but moving to the “big” city of Fort Worth for college. I graduated with a degree to teach from Texas Christian University and taught for five years. The same year I graduated I married my soul mate (we’ve been married seven years in October and been together twelve years total!) My son Race is two and keeps me on my toes! I don’t have brothers so having a son was a little scary to me at first, especially wondering how I was going to dress him! It can be a challenge finding adorable toddler boy clothes but I have managed and made it my job to make sure he’s the cutest two year old ever! ;)

While I LOVE every and all things that have to do with fashion and beauty, I also have a passion to help others achieve a healthier lifestyle through working out and eating cleaner! I was very active while pregnant and know there are challenges for us all, but we have to push through to be who we want to be.

My favorite hashtag is #makeitcount because life is too short not to be happy every day!

I was never a cute girl growing up… was totally awkward. was pale, lanky, and my eyebrows were questionable. remember my mom taking me to the Clinique counter for the first time where she bought me my first set of skincare and makeup. Remember the spend $15, get a free gift? That was my first makeup bag. From then on, was OBSESSED!

As a teenager, remember sitting in front of the full-length mirror in my bedroom practicing my makeup with a Seventeen magazine opened up to a picture of a famous celebrity. Once finished a new look, would wash my face so could do it all over again... and loved every minute of it. To this day, will spend hours at Sephora trying different makeup products. t’s just a part of who am.

For me, life is all about balance and ensuring that ALL the things that love are included in it. Although feel like got a late start in life, can finally say that am exactly where want to be. Originally received my Bachelor’s in Marketing from the University of North Texas and then, after changing my career path, went back for a second Bachelor’s in Nursing from Texas Christian University. t’s never too late to start over! Cannot imagine my life any other way! Love my little NICU babies to the ends of the earth! But my career is not my life… love too many things to focus on just one, so will continue to make sure that have it all!
